The Street Department is subsidized by the General Fund and the permit fees go back into the General Fund. Permit fee is $50.

The additional verbiage will address Driveways and Driveway Permit Fees.  The Street Department has been doing Driveway Inspections since 2017 for buyers of properties within the Village limits. The Street Department Manager goes over Village guidelines with the future homeowner or contractor. The fee is paid during the process of getting the building permits through the Planning & Zoning Department. The driveway permitting isn't part of the Municipal Code and is needed to be placed there by this Ordinance to become an item to be followed and enforced if needed by the Village.
